Six weeks to go! The transition
from the undergraduate world to “real life” might be the most predictable major
life change you’ll ever have. I recommend that you take some time this week to
break routine and think about how you want to go out. Warning: clichés and
mixed metaphors ahead.
Examples of home
stretch strategies:
· Leave it
all on the field to be the best scholar you can be before crossing the finish
line (recommended if you have regrets about your Trinity academic productivity
and want to stand taller at graduation)
· Smell
some roses (recommended if you’ve been grinding hard for four years and have
well-earned postgrad bird in hand)
· Rehearse
living a healthy life of balance and moderation (yeah, right)

With only six weeks to go until your glorious graduation, do you feel
yourself coming down with a serious case of senioritis? I know it's difficult
not to focus on the future right now and it's right to do so, but don't forget
the present. These last few weeks are a great opportunity to revel in the
friendships you've made at Trinity. The men and women who have become your
trusted friends are likely to always have a special place in your heart. My TU
friends are still some of my closest. We've shared career ups and downs, been
there for each others' weddings, babies' births and sadly, even a funeral. We
share a bond that no other friendships I formed before or after Trinity can
share. Enjoy this special time and the people who have made it so. You'll never
pass this way again.
