Remember those heady first-year orientation days when May 2013 seemed impossibly
distant? Since then, you've spent approximately 1600 hours in Trinity
classrooms and sacrificed many more hours of sleep keeping up with
Trinity-related work. Do you feel wise yet? If not, congratulations— you've clearly learned a lot.We confess to feeling some relief about your impending graduation, because generating class marshal/alumni sponsor insights that you haven’t already heard and/or experienced has become increasingly difficult. So we’ll just use this final newsletter column to say thank you on behalf of the Trinity community. Thanks for inspiring us with your ideas and energy. Thanks for patiently playing along when you didn't see the point. Thanks for showing respect and tolerance for others and viewpoints that you don’t share. Thanks for taking your lumps without attacking the messenger. Thanks for being nice when you felt grumpy. And thanks for making our days from time to time with the subtle and not-so-subtle ways that you express recognition and appreciation of our efforts.

Half Marathon

join Dean Tuttle as alum for the Sixth Annual Dean of Students Half Marathon Challenge and Kayla Mire
Food Drive. The race will be part of the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday, November 17, 2013.
By registering
for the official race as a member of the Trinity team, runners receive
a $10 registration discount; in addition if you register before May 1, you also

The 12th Annual Bright
Futures Award, 3/7-6/12/13, 5 p.m., Online
The Bright
Futures Award is giving Future Teachers Scholarship money for fall semester of
2013. Bright Horizons believes the profession of Early Childhood Education
deserves more respect and support. It is their hope that this scholarship will
be a way to encourage students of great promise to continue pursuing their
dreams of teaching young children. The scholarships range from $250-$1,000 for
full-time students pursing degrees in Early Childhood Education or in a related
field. Students must have completed 60 credits of their Bachelor’s degree
program or have been accepted into a Master level program.
